Accident Coverage Ambulance

Accident Coverage comes in many variations. Coverage can range from benefits paid only in the event of the death of an insured party by a covered accident, to benefits that may be payable to cover medical bills, lost wages and other benefits in the event of injury and or disability due to an accident.

Accident CoverageCommon types of Accident Coverage include:

  • Accidental Death (AD): Pays benefits to a beneficiary in the event of the death of the insured due to a covered accident.
  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D): In addition to paying a beneficiary in the event of the death of the insured, this type of coverage will pay benefits to the insured in the event of the loss of limbs or bodily functions such as sight, hearing (coverage will vary).
  • Accidental Medical Expense (AME): Pays benefits to offset medical bills incurred as the result of a covered accident.
